I can't believe that the original article at the end of this selection of screen grabs was first published in 1989!!! I used to have a copy of this for years until I lent it to a colleague in Belgium and never got it back!

Still good ref for students, as I have often said to my HND group...

Pop up examples 2...

Exploring Pop up's 1

Following a lead from Tash, and looking at an excellent example of this craft, I have done some research on this area and found some interesting sites. I have to confess that pop up is something I have really only ever associated with Children's books over the years, and I bought one or two as presents. Last night I had a look a a couple of sites, from which a couple of screen grabs are posted.

My latest thoughts...

The items I have just posted come from a recent visit to the Royal Ex last Friday, where I have photographed many times over the last fours years, but never with the focus I have now for my MACD project. The level of colour within the hall is stunning, and it doesn't matter what the weather is like outside the building, there is clearly a focus of bringing to life the various areas, even those high above all areas are catered for.

So ceiling to floor as I have shown, the reflections and shadows come to life...
