Experimental Packaging example 2

My second example, and one which I'm borrowing from a mate, which also comes with a CD of templates to have a play with.

  1. These are good books. They are much more thoughtfully and thoroughly designed than, say, the templates that come with Illustrator! My students have had to be careful about making sure the scale is correct when using the templates on these CD's. You can print them at any scale, of course, but beginners often start working at a smaller scale than the finished product and sometimes end up with a "This is Spinal Tap" moment when going to the printer. I could (and do) spend hours just browsing these books, admiring all of the interesting folding and mailing ideas.

  2. That's a very good point, checking the scale and final size for the product/package. I too can remember a few examples, and actually a few from industry, where people who should know higher up actually signed off on projects...
